A large-scale renovation was carried out in a 1960s apartment, respecting the original character. The apartment retained many exceptionally beautiful built-in fittings veneered with teak and Oregon pine, so restoring these old fittings became the starting point for the renovation.

The apartment’s new interior materials were carefully selected to respect its original character. The original travertine tile floor was retained in the entrance hall. Glued herringbone parquet was chosen for the living room and bedrooms, while the kitchen and utility room received a black, functionalist-style coconut-fibre floor. The apartment’s new built-in fittings are striking teak-veneered cabinets with brass details.
