Peurantupa is a summer house joined to an old main building from the 1960s by a modern extension. It is located on the shore of a lake in Kisko, Southwest Finland. The starting point was to create a modern, radical extension as a counterpart to the more traditional gabled main building. The sloping end wall and zigzag form contrast with the otherwise restrained rectangular volume. The old and new were brought together by matching their roof pitches and using similar façade materials.
