Simply Massive is an installation piece we have designed to curatorial exhibition How Much? of Tallinn Archithecture Biennale 2026. The exhibition in historical Linnahall focuses on expensivity of modern construction and our installation piece explores different properties of clay brick and it's long term cost-effectiveness.
The installation piece consists of four different thematical parts : Air, Energy, Mass and Cycle.
Air shows a masonry structure that breathes through natural ventilation, reducing the need for mechanical systems.
Energy presents the massive brick wall as passive heat storage, helping to keep indoor temperatures stable.
Mass considers monolithic construction as a way to build for durability and long use.
Cycle looks at brick as a natural material that can be reused and returned into circulation.
