The New Nikkilä Idea Workshop was a participatory urban planning initiative organised by the Municipality of Sipoo and the Nordic Works collective, a network of young architectural practices. The project set out to create a bold vision for the future townscape of central Nikkilä. The outcome was four thought-provoking urban design proposals that challenged conventional planning approaches and explored alternative directions for Nikkilä’s future development. Through their ambitious and unconventional ideas, the proposals sought to stimulate public discussion and broaden perspectives on what the town centre could become. The concepts were presented as a basis for civic dialogue and as a resource for the Municipality of Sipoo’s ongoing planning work
